VIGA teaches you how to choose the closestool installation size

With the improvement of living standards, closestools have become the sanitary ware of choice for more and more families. The installation of the closestool is relatively easy. Generally, you can do it yourself after you buy it. The only thing that entangles many people is the size of the closestool. Today, I will come to know how to choose the installation size of the closestool.

1 look at the hole distance

The most important thing in choosing the closestool size is the water distance of the closestool. The closestool water distance, also called the closestool hole distance, refers to the horizontal distance from the center of the sewer pipe to the wall surface after the tile is pasted. The closestool is mainly divided into a floor type and a wall-mounted type (wall type). Currently, a floor type closestool is more commonly used. Different from the wall type, the floor type closestool does not need the embedded water tank and other things, only the horizontal distance from the center of the drain hole to the wall after the brick is pasted;

Now the general hole spacing is 300mm, 350mm, 400mm, and 450mm, and the more common are 300mm and 400mm. Because the drainage method of the floor-type closestool is not a pipe buried in the wall, the drainage method of the closestool is downward, so the measurement of the hole distance is very important. Be sure to measure the hole distance accurately. If the hole distance is 300mm, you can’t install it if you buy 350mm water distance.

How to measure the hole distance? In fact, the measurement method is relatively simple, and the measurement tool chooses a general tape measure. First determine the center of the drainage hole and measure the straight line distance from the center to the wall. The distance obtained should be taken into account the thickness of the tile. For example, some manufacturersclosestools display 400mm, generally only 380mm. Manufacturers will reserve 20mm of tile thickness for consumers to adjust.

2 door size

Some closestools are installed close to the bathroom door. The size of the door must be taken into account during installation. If the closestool has enough water, but it is too close to the door, you will encounter it when you open the door. This requires on-site measurement. Generally, this situation is encountered. A common treatment method is to smash a part of one side of the door and build a part on the other side to avoid the closestool from the closestool; or to change the closestool’s drain hole, but this treatment method will If the height is increased, the entire bathroom will look very depressing.
