The samples for this comparison test are all ceramic sheet sealed kitchen taps, involving 50 samples produced by 50 companies in 8 provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, and Hebei. Entrusted by the National Building Materials Industry Building Hardware Plumbing Product Quality Supervision, Inspection and Testing Center to test the faucet’s logo packaging, salt spray test, flow rate, sealing performance, water efficiency, and lead precipitation concentration, among the 50 samples, there are 17 faucet sample parts The project failed to meet the standard requirements, accounting for 34%.
It is reported that the main reason why the overnight water of substandard faucets is prone to exceed the lead is that most of the ceramic chip faucets are cast with copper alloys due to process limitations, and the lead element in the copper alloy will quickly surface when it comes in contact with air.
