Following the implementation of the “Limited Value and Level of Water Efficiency for Toilets”, water efficiency standards for five types of sanitary products are about to be implemented, involving smart toilets, faucets, showers, urinals and squatting toilets. The original scheduled implementation time is July 1, 2020.
A few days ago, the Research Institute of Resources and Environmental Research of the China National Institute of Standardization conducted a questionnaire survey on the impact of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic on enterprises’ production and operation, and the implementation of water efficiency standards. Under the epidemic, whether companies can implement the new standards on time has become the industry focus.
Five types of water efficiency standards will be implemented from July 1
According to the relevant information of the national standard full text disclosure system, the five types of water efficiency standards to be implemented include: GB 38448-2019 “Limited Value and Level of Energy Efficiency and Water Efficiency of Smart Toilets”, GB 25501-2019 “Limited Value and Water Efficiency of Spout Grade “, GB 28378-2019” Limited Value and Level of Water Efficiency for Showers “, GB 28377-2019” Limited Value and Level of Water Efficiency for Urinals “, GB 30717-2019″ Limited Value and Water Efficiency for Squatting Pans ” Effectiveness level “. The five types of standards are all implemented on July 1, 2020.
According to the published standard documents, the five standards to be implemented are revised based on the current standards except the “Limited Value and Level of Energy Efficiency and Water Efficiency of Smart Toilets”, which will replace the current standards after implementation. Compared with the current standard, the new standard has been modified in terms of standard scope, terms and definitions, basic requirements, water efficiency rating indicators, etc. At the same time, some indicators have been added for different products, and the newly added parts include shower spray force requirements and squats. Toilet flushing function requirements and average water consumption calculation formula, urinal flushing function requirements and average water consumption calculation formula, etc.
In addition, “Limited Values and Levels of Energy Efficiency and Water Efficiency of Smart Toilets” not only stipulates the water efficiency rating indicators of smart toilets, but also clarifies the corresponding energy efficiency rating indicators.
Water efficiency level below 3 will not be listed
In the five types of water efficiency standards to be implemented, the water efficiency levels of five types of products such as smart toilets, faucets, showers, squatting toilets and urinals are specified. The water efficiency grades of the five types of products are all divided into three levels: level 1, level 2, and level 3. Products lower than level 3 will not be listed for sale.
GB 38448-2019 “Limited value and level of energy efficiency and water efficiency of smart toilets”
The new standard stipulates that the energy efficiency and water efficiency grades of smart toilets are divided into three levels, and level 3 energy efficiency and water efficiency are the lowest. Among them, the water efficiency level of the smart toilet is not less than 3, the average water consumption for cleaning is not more than 0.70L, the average water consumption for smart toilet flushing, and the full flushing water consumption for double flush smart toilets are implemented according to the relevant requirements of GB 25502. In terms of energy efficiency level, the new standard stipulates that the energy consumption per unit cycle of an intelligent toilet with a seat heating function is not greater than 0.060kW · h, and the energy consumption per unit cycle of an intelligent toilet without a seat heating function is not greater than 0.030kW · h.
GB 25501-2019 “Liquidity Value and Water Efficiency Grade of Water Spout”
The new standard stipulates that the water efficiency level of the face-washer faucet, kitchen faucet and bidet faucet is not less than 3, that is, the water consumption is not more than 7.5 liters per minute. The new standard also stipulates the water-saving evaluation value of the water nozzle products. The water efficiency grades of the above three water nozzle products reach level 2, that is, the water consumption is not more than 6.0 liters per minute, before they can be evaluated as water-saving products.
GB 30717-2019 “Limited value and grade of water efficiency for squatting pans”
The new standard stipulates that the water efficiency level of squatting pans is divided into three levels, of which level 3 has the lowest water efficiency and level 2 is the evaluation value of water saving. The water consumption of all levels of squatting pans should meet the relevant regulations, and the water efficiency level should not be less than 3, that is, the water consumption of single flush products is not more than 8.0 liters, the water consumption of double flush products is not more than 6.4 liters, and the double flush products The flushing water consumption is not more than 8.0 liters.
GB 28377-2019 “Limited Value and Level of Water Efficiency for Urinals”
In the new standard, the urinal water efficiency level is divided into three levels, of which the average water consumption of level 3 is not more than 2.5 liters as the minimum standard, and the average water consumption of grade 2 is not more than 1.5 liters as the evaluation value of water saving.
GB 28378-2019 “Limited value and grade of water efficiency of shower”
The water efficiency grades of shower products are also divided into three grades, among which grade 3 is the lowest and grade 2 is the evaluation value of water saving. After the implementation of the new standard, hand-held showers with a water consumption of more than 7.5 liters per minute and fixed showers with a water consumption of more than 9.0 liters per minute will not be sold.
